I know which service I need
We give free legal help in some situations. To be eligible, your problem needs to be something that we can help with. For many of our programs you will need to meet other eligibility criteria, like your income, for example.
Learn about who we can't help.
As a charity, we prioritise helping people who are most in need.
We'll ask you a few questions and match you with any of our services that may be able to assist.
You can then complete full applications for assistance with the services in this tool. You control how much information you provide. You do not need to provide your identifying information until the last step of this process, when you can decide if you would like to submit a formal application.
If you’re here for a friend, they need to get in touch with us themselves.

We know that finding assistance can be difficult. Justice Connect cannot provide legal assistance to small businesses unless they are part of a charity or community organisation that operates for the benefit of the community (if this sounds like you, please go to the Not-for-profit Law service). It is unusual for legal services to provide free legal help to businesses. You can contact your state's law institute to get a referral to a lawyer with skills that match your problem.
Justice Connect has a special legal service that provides legal help to not-for-profit and community organisations.
All not-for-profit and community groups are eligible for free information and can attend low cost training sessions. Groups that operate to provide services that benefit the community may be eligible for free legal advice as well.
To find out more about the Not-for-profit Law go to the Not-for-profit Law website.
